How to Pay for Steam with Crypto: USDT, USDC, BTC and More
Steam does not take crypto directly, but a login top-up paid from crypto credit turns USDT or BTC into Steam dollars. Add credit once, then order as many top-ups as it covers.
How crypto becomes Steam money
- Create an account: the page makes an access token, which is your sign-in key.
- Open Top up and choose a credit amount from $30 (from $20 in lower-income countries).
- Pick a coin and network. The payment page shows the exact amount to six decimals, the address and a QR code.
- Send exactly that amount. Credit appears on the account after the network confirms the payment.
- Place Steam top-ups from credit: each order shows its price before you confirm.
Supported coins and networks
| Coin | Networks |
|---|---|
| USDT | TRON (TRC20), BNB Chain (BEP20), Ethereum (ERC20), Solana |
| USDC | BNB Chain, Ethereum, Solana |
| BTC | Bitcoin |
| ETH | Ethereum |
| BNB | BNB Chain |
| SOL | Solana |
| LTC | Litecoin |
Stablecoins keep the dollar value fixed while the payment confirms, which makes USDT on TRON the most common choice for Steam top-ups.
Why the amount must be exact
The last digits of the amount identify your payment. Send exactly the amount shown, on the network shown. Many exchanges subtract a withdrawal fee from the amount you type, so add the fee when withdrawing to make sure the exact amount arrives.
First credit bonus
| First credit top-up | Bonus | Credit received |
|---|---|---|
| $100 | +20% | $120 |
| $200 | +25% | $250 |
| $300 | +30% | $390 |
| $500 | +35% | $675 |
With the bonus, $500 of USDT becomes $675 of credit, enough for about $865 on Steam wallets at $0.8843 per wallet dollar.
Ready to add money? Open the Steam top-up form, enter the login and the amount, and see the price before you pay. Answers about orders and credit are on the FAQ page.
